A little about me...

A little about me...

I'm the go-to diaper changer for the most dashing French Bulldog, Captain Wally. With a passion for music, I've drummed in a few bands, bringing rhythm and joy to a handful of people. I can be found exploring vegan cuisine, hitting the trails, focusing on wellness, playing video games, and cheering for San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. I am rarely seen without a hat or sneakers from my modest collection.

A little about my background...

Throughout my incredible journey in the realm of design and product leadership, I discovered my unique gift for bringing together and guiding exceptional design teams. With 15 years of experience under my belt, I have successfully navigated the world of design strategy, operations, and best practices across a diverse range of industries. I have been blessed with the opportunity to create visions and strategies, bringing products from concept to reality, while nurturing the next generation of user-focused leaders in a warm, inclusive environment.

As I reflect on my career, I am grateful for my unwavering commitment to a user-centric approach, which is infused with collaboration, strategy, and empathy. My service mindset, clarity, and vision have allowed me to inspire my teams to produce outstanding results while maintaining a positive and inclusive design culture.

In 2016, I took a leap of faith and ventured to the City of Angels, joining the Los Angeles Times. There, I had the honor of recruiting talented product design and UX research teams. We harnessed the power of data-driven personas and human-centered design research programs to ensure we stayed in tune with our users’ needs. As a result, we achieved a remarkable increase in revenue and user engagement, and I am proud to say that we redesigned and relaunched LATimes.com and its sister brands.

While at Blizzard Entertainment, I had the privilege of leading a 40-member design team, expertly managing backend platforms, and mobile, desktop, and web applications. I was responsible for e-commerce and branded web experiences, which accounted for over $2 billion in revenue, and formed the intricate nexus between systems, games, and players. With a spirit of collaboration, I successfully instigated a cultural transformation within the organization, embedding design operations, design-led thinking, and data-informed design into its very fabric.

In my latest role as Chief Experience Officer/VP of UX at Aimlabs, I have had the opportunity to optimize product design and development methodologies and operations, resulting in improved collaboration, release cadence, and product quality. As part of my strategic efforts, I also directed a rebranding initiative that seamlessly integrated the corporate brand with the player experience strategy, leading to increased brand awareness and engagement. In the fast-paced environment of a start-up, I am proud of my team’s ability to adapt and excel, ultimately delivering value to a staggering 25 million players.

And so, the journey continues…
